"Here is a commission I completed using colored pencils on paper. I improvised the background, using paintings by the great Spanish landscape artist — “Luis Rigalt Farriols.” I worked on maintaining flow and rhythm with “echoing” elements throughout the composition.
I’m really happy on how it came out!"

"For this kitty commission I used colored pencils on paper. I experimented with different backgrounds using tracing paper overlays and drew trial backgrounds for the cats on the tracing paper. I went through quite a few tries, when finally my mom suggested to create a backdrop of the Parthenon in Athens. I drew a test run with more tracing paper and I liked it. I’m happy with the finished work!"

"This is a colored pencil commission of Penny! I was not sure what to do for the background until my dad suggested to me that I copy the background of Leonardo da Vinci’s , Mona Lisa painting. So I did ! And now I think maybe to call this colored pencil drawing , “Mona Penny.”
